Just some more

I just woke up with Mea and the pups in the puppy pen now. Mea loves to have me close, and it was so nice to have the pups crawling around us. Just have to share the last pictures from today with you. I’m in love with them!

Status end of day 1

Thank you for all the congratulations for our newborn puppies. 4 small miracles. Mea had a long delivery, and the big pups made the birth hard for her. We are so happy for the 4 wonders. So perfectly cute! And the adorable puppy sounds from the puppy pen. LOVE!

We also think it’s so fun that we have had over 900 hits so far today in our blog! Thanks! I am completely overwhelmed!

The first days in every puppies life is vulnerable, so we have to see how they develop before we contacting the puppy buyers. And we have to check them for DS (sinus).

Now the pups just sleep and eat with mommy Mea in the puppy pen. Harmony!

Mea has put her sweeties under the blanket for the night! 🙂

The first pictures

Mea is calm, so we don’t think there are any more pups inside her belly. But we have 4 shining darlings in the puppypen, and are very happy for them!
2 boys and 2 girls. 1 of the boys has a multi crown ridge, the 3 others so far looks correct.

The big day!!!

13:00 Mea has gotten som sleep, and so had I. She is calm. Just have to wait and see.

10:15 A girl! She seems correct. We have 4 puppies in the puppy pen. Time will show if that’s it.

07:30 Mea just had some more contraction! This takes time! 3 pups in almost 8 hours.

07:15 The three newborn pups in the milk bar:

06:40 A boy. And he has a correct ridge. Big and strong as his siblings!

05:30 Mea has started to have some more contractions and we are waiting… 🙂

05:05 Everything is quiet in the puppy pen. Mea is the best mum, washing and taking care of the two pups all the time. Half an hour ago I weight the pups, and they were around 600 gr. So more than 500 gr when they were born. Big, cute monsters.

04:25 A brand new picture of the two newborns. Girl to the left and boy to the right:

03:55 A big girl! Her ridge is correct.

02:40 Almost 3 hours after the water broke (and me so nervous) a big, strong boy was born! Welcome!!! 🙂 He has a multi crown ridge, and he is absolutely gorgeous!

00:30 No news!

24:00 The water just broke! I will update here during the birth, if everything goes well!

Day 59

Mea has been fit as always earlier today. She ran up the stairs, calm and happy as she used to be.
But this evening she is not that calm. She is breathing heavily, and I can see that she has some pain. So now we are both installed at the puppy room. Mea in the puppy pen, and I switch between my bed and the puppy pen. Mea wants to cuddle!

I don’t know when she will start giving birth, but I will update the puppy blog regularly! Wish us good luck!

Mea just now:

Guessing competition

Guess the number of puppies in Meas belly! And how many of eash gender (boys/girls). The prize is glory and fame, or if wanted; some cuddeling time with the puppies! 🙂

Mea day 58

Today Mea is 58 days pregnant. 63 days is normal, but I think she gave birth at day 60 last time. So perhaps Tuesday is the day?
Since I have been away on a big dogshow this weekend, Mea has spent the weekend at my parents house. She is still there, since I’m going to work tomorrow and she then will not be left alone.
Earlier today I visited her and she was happy and jumped around as usual. So no signs of the upcomming birth yet!

Mea and mum

A couple of weeks ago the photographer Tomm W. Christiansen took some pictures of Mea doing an ultrasound at Agder Dyreklinikk, and some pictures of both of us afterwards. He will take some more photos when the pups are born. We’ll just wait and see what this leads to.
